Projects Under Development:
Lenox School
The original Lenox School Building was built in 189-, and is considered a
Historical struture. The exterior of this building will be restored by Dayton
Investments, who will create 14 condominium units within the restored structure.
Stanton Development Corporation will develop the balance of the site by first
demolishing the 1962 Annex. In its place and on the remaining open lot 13 new
Victorian townhouses will be developed. The townhouses will reflect existing
residential structures on Capitol Hill. Specific residences, considered to be the
most exemplary models of superior Victorian architecture, have been selected,
photographed and incorporated into the design process. Architectural Elements
such as ornamental cornices, window "eyebrows" and entry doors have been
researched and reviewed to insure accuracy in period style. The Architectural
Designs are being developed by McAllister Associates of Old Towne, Virginia.
The firm is working closely with Stanon Development Corporation to insure that all
design elements meet the Historic Preservation Review Board (HPRB)
requirements. The Conceptual Designs, recently submitted to HPRB will be
presented for approval on July 26, 2001.
